I have always said Star Wars had a Daoist feel to it. Not just Yoda, but the idea of the Force having a light and dark side. Very yin yang. Obviously I'm not the only one to think so. Those familiar with Star Wars will recognize the symbols for the Empire and the Rebels.
Have you ever used Google Maps to enhance your Bible studies? As a visual learner I find it helpful to visit Israel virtually sometimes. Having never visted Jerusalem in real life, nor having any expectations to do so in the future, virtual tours help to ground my imagination. This is the view, more or less, that Jesus would have experienced as these events ocurred...
As Jesus was leaving the temple, one of his disciples said to him, “Look, Teacher! What massive stones! What magnificent buildings!” “Do you see all these great buildings?” replied Jesus. “Not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.”
As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John and Andrew asked him privately, “Tell us, when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that they are all about to be fulfilled?” (Mark 13:1-4)
You are now standing on the Mount of Olives.
See the Temple mount before you.
Take a look around.

Over at the 3D Warehouse I found downloadable files for 3D printing various buildings, objects and maps mentioned in the Bible. They include various incarnations of the Temple in Jerusalem, the ancient city of Jericho and Noah's Ark. I am thinking Jeremiah would have LOVED this! And Noah too, if he could have scaled it up.
